Alexia DeBono (she/her/they) is a 26 year-old Maltese-European who grew up in Sliema and Swieqi. She works as a self-employed writer and digital marketer.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Linguistics from the University of Goldsmiths, London.
Alexia is one of the co-founders of Volt Malta, alongside Arnas. The party was officially registered on 30th April, 2021.
She has played a pivotal role in the party’s policy portfolio and communications, and ran as a General Election candidate in 2022, in Districts 8 and 9.
She is currently serving her second term as Co-President, having been re-elected during the party’s General Assembly in December 2022.
Her aims for this two-year term include seeing the party through the 2024 European Parliament Elections, as well as strengthening Volt Malta’s capabilities.
